Like many other regions and destinations across the country, Lafayette has always relied on good ol’ fashion foot-traffic commerce to it’s traditional brick and mortar style retail. It’s eclectic mix of shops and eateries has provided visitors a rustic and exciting retail experience where one could not only shop, but search, discover and bargain for brand new products or items that were from another century.
However, the recent times of; economy shut-downs, fewer customer visits, major supplier issues, delayed shipping and increasing costs, have not only fostered the largest revenue losses in history, but is also attempting to force that unique shopping experience into extinction.
The site publishers of LafayetteNJ.com are life-long residents, born-and-raised, in town with the same vested hope and promise, as many of the other residents. They want to pay it forward by utilizing their professional backgrounds in marketing and web development by creating a collective online presence for the destination which will provide information to inquiring users and free exposure for the businesses of the town.

The Shopping in Lafayette is a bustling rural marketplace at the heart of Sussex county. The sprawling outdoor setting creates an active shopping experience for the whole family.
