Christmas is always the time to have fun, relax and splurge with some holiday season shopping of clothes, shoes, handbags, antiques, home decor stuff and so much more. The Shoppes at Lafayette village outdoor mall is all set to welcome the holiday season with revamped heritage and renewed fervor.
The Holiday Season 2021
The Shoppes At Lafayette Holiday Shopping Extravaganza 2021 prevailed from November 26-28 featuring Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Super Sunday. Stores offered lucrative discounts, offers, and special featured sales to lure customers. Christmas is indeed the ‘shopping time ‘ of the year.
There were special shopping hours on Black Friday where few of the stores offered never-before discounts. This market is a hub for craft vendors, who display their goods both inside and outside on the Green. With farmers market vendors on the storefronts, customers could easily select fresh farm produce in the lively open-air market.
There were food trucks parked on Friday and Saturday offering sumptuous breakfast and lunch food. Along came the local children’s choral group from Elisa Girlando Studio who lead the visitors and shoppers in Christmas and holiday music. Their presence filled the atmosphere with gaiety and mirth.
And the biggest surprise, Santa Claus made an additional swing through Lafayette on Friday evening to ignite the Christmas holiday season. The event started with a Shopping Season tree lighting which took place about 5:00 PM. Next, followed a photo session at the Village hall with Santa.
Christmas At Lafayette, Sussex County
Christmas in Lafayette is never complete without shopping at the Shoppes. The highlight of the market area is the open environment where people can experience a picnic-like feel. Shopping in the village seems more like a walk through the countryside on a sunny pleasant day.
You will find unique specialty shops, antiques, outdoor equipment, Home Decor, Vintage craft and Furniture, creative ideas, home furnishings, farmers market, unique clothing, famous name outlets, and eateries in the Lafayette Village.
The Makeover
The village has easy access to routes 94 and 15. Originally referred to as Olde Lafayette Village, Shoppes recently underwent a makeover to accommodate contemporary amenities. The restoration has been done while keeping the semi-rural character of this place. Once a thriving marketplace, the Village lost its charm and business started deteriorating. Businesses declined and slowly many shops were abandoned with only a few reputed old shops and eateries still running. The recent restoration is a revival effort to restore the old charm and commercial value of the Village.
