Dan Carson founded his first company, Daniel B. Carson Excavating in 1987. A recent college graduate, Dan realized that there was a market in New Jersey for a site contractor who could complete projects in a professional manner, safely, on time and on budget.

During the 1990’s, under the name Carson & Roberts, the company continued to focus on site development and utility construction. It was during this time that the company was able to gain notoriety for successfully completing numerous earthwork and utility projects for big box stores, warehouses and residential developments.

Around the year 2000, Dan Carson made the strategic decision to invest in growing his company by adding the required assets and personnel to compete in the horizontal directional drill industry. During this time period, the company began to operate as Carson Corporation and expanded operations throughout the country.

Presently, our entire organization continues to move forward with a focus on our core values of safety, integrity and efficiency.
